With the annual conference kicking off in Berlin this week, eGR asks what this year's hot topic will be
The egaming industry gathers in Berlin for EiG 2015 this week to – amongst the networking and partying – debate the key issues which will define the industry for the next year and beyond.
Each year the major exhibitions of ICE, G2E and EiG seem to be dominated by one or two key trends, jumped upon by suppliers and operators alike as the ‘next big thing’. And this year will be no different.

Elsewhere, more and more operators are beginning to talk about the importance of a data-driven approach to just about every aspect of egaming. Many operators have been exploring the possibilities offered by eSports in recent months, whether that be by offering betting markets on major events or trying to appeal to the gamer demographic, and delegates will want to learn more about what eSports can teach us about player engagement.
Meanwhile following the developments in the US over the past couple of weeks, delegates are bound to be debating the future of daily fantasy sports, and whether the bubble may have burst on the DFS opportunity.
